JLPT N5 - Grammar ๐ŸŒŸ ใฎใง node

Japanese grammar pattern โ€œใ€œใฎใงโ€ (node) labeled N5 on a blue background, used to give a reason or cause in a softer, more explanatory way than ใ‹ใ‚‰ (โ€œbecause,โ€ โ€œsinceโ€).

Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to explain why you were late, or why you need to leave early, but you wanted to sound extra polite and professional?

Maybe the train was delayed, or you have a bit of a headache. You don't want to sound like you're making a pushy excuse; you just want to explain the situation clearly and gently.

That’s where ใฎใง (node) becomes your best friend!

It’s an N5 grammar point that means "because" or "since." While it’s similar to ใ‹ใ‚‰ (kara), ใฎใง is much softer and more objective. It’s the perfect way to state a reason without sounding like you're forcing your opinion on someone.

Whether you are talking to your boss, a teacher, or hearing an announcement at a train station, you will hear ใฎใง everywhere!

Let’s learn how to use it so you can explain yourself with confidence and grace!
Ready? Here we go!

ใ‹ใ‚‰ (kara) vs ใฎใง (node)
Both mean "because," but they have different "vibes."

ใ‹ใ‚‰ (kara)
ใ‹ใ‚‰ is more subjective and personal. It focuses on your own reason or excuse and can sometimes sound a bit strong or pushy. It’s great for talking with friends!

ใฎใง (node)
ใฎใง, on the other hand, is objective and polite. It focuses on the situation or the facts. It’s the "go-to" choice for business, formal settings, or when you want to be extra considerate.
