JLPT N3 - Grammar ๐ŸŒŸ ใคใ„ tsui

Japanese adverb โ€œใคใ„โ€ (tsui) labeled N3 on an orange background, used to express doing something unintentionally or without thinking, meaning โ€œaccidentallyโ€ or โ€œwithout meaning to.โ€

Have you ever promised yourself not to eat snacks at night… and then suddenly realized you finished a whole bag of potato chips?

Or maybe you told yourself not to check your phone before bed, but before you know it, you’re scrolling through social media again…
(But hey, if you were checking my social media, thank you! )

That’s when Japanese people use ใคใ„ (tsui), a small but expressive word meaning “accidentally,” “without thinking,” or “unintentionally.”

It’s used when something just slips out of your control, you didn’t plan to do it, but you did it anyway.

Let’s learn how to use ใคใ„ naturally to describe those “oops” moments we all have sometimes!
