てから (te kara)
てから is used to show a simple time sequence.
It just means “after” or “since,” without adding strong emotion or evaluation.

日本に来てから、3年が経ちました。
にほん に きて から、さんねん が たちました。
nihon ni kite kara, san-nen ga tachimashita.
It has been three years since I came to Japan.

Use てから when you only want to describe when something happened.

てからというもの (te kara toiu mono)
てからというもの is used when one event becomes a clear turning point, and the change continues strongly up to the present.

日本に来てからというもの、人生観が変わった。
にほん に きて から という もの、じんせいかん が かわった。
nihon ni kite kara to iu mono, jinseikan ga kawatta.
Ever since I came to Japan, my view on life has changed.

Use てからというもの when you want to emphasize how deeply that event affected your life or situation.

子供が生まれてからというもの、時間の使い方がまったく変わった。
こども が うまれ てから という もの、じかん の つかいかた が まったく かわった。

仕事で体調を崩してからというもの、健康を何よりも大切にするようになった。
しごと で たいちょう を くずし てから という もの、けんこう を なにより も たいせつ に する ように なった。
